President's Corner

Fall semester was....an interesting time to work in education. We started off with lots of uncertainty on how to do even what had been the most basic parts of our job. I know, for me, once I found a groove things were fairly smooth (until the next change came along and we had to readjust...and then readjust again...and again...).

Was it how I would like? No.

Do I feel as effective as I normally do? Definitely no.

Are there still inequities all around us? Absolutely!

Taking time away from the perpetual changes and stress at work to reconnect to the field has been so helpful!

I hope you have been able to attend some (or all!) of the professional development opportunities that SCCASP has been able to keep offering during this very interesting time in our lives. We have a solid line up of events coming up, so I hope you will end the year strong with us!

March 5: Addressing Disproportionality in Schools

April 2: ACEs into Practice with Dr. Elaine Fletcher-Janzen

May TBD: Awards and Social Event
